About Mt. Horeb

Mt. Horeb grew from humble Norwegian roots into a vibrant village where history breathes through limestone buildings and charming wooden carvings along Main Street. Cyclists pedal in for respite along the Military Ridge Trail, while families linger in our cafés and shops. We're small enough to remember your name but spirited enough to surprise you. Our community celebrates both tradition and the unexpected—a place where the past and present dance together in perfect harmony.

About the Sugar River

The Sugar River winds through the Driftless area like a ribbon, carving its patient path through valleys and farmland. Stephanie named the shop for the river because of her love of the outdoors and her desire to connect the shop to conservation efforts for the Sugar River watershed.
