Sea Change Celilo combines 75% soft Falklands Merino and 25% lustrous silk to create a hand-dyed, fingering weight yarn that shines. The merino provides a soft hand while the silk adds strength and a subtle glow. This yarn excels in lace work and gives cables and colorwork stunning definition. The light, lofty texture creates garments that feel comfortable year-round.
Named after the historic Celilo Falls on the Columbia River, this yarn carries the story of a place that was sacred to indigenous peoples for 15,000 years before being lost to dam construction in 1957. Sea Change Fibers honors this local Oregon history while creating something beautiful that connects us to both the land and the craft traditions that came before us.
