ChiaoGoo QUADS Stainless Steel Lace Interchangeable Needle Tips 5” offer an alternative needle grip option with four flat sides and rounded corners to give your fingers something to hold onto, reducing fatigue that can come with long sessions on standard round needles. Square needle tips distribute pressure across four contact points instead of one curved surface, which can make a difference for knitters with arthritis, carpal tunnel, or repetitive strain issues. Some knitters find the flat sides help regulate tension more consistently, particularly for continental knitters or anyone who wraps yarn around their fingers. The needle doesn't roll or shift in hand the same way a round one does. Additionally, ChiaoGoo QUADS are purposefully calibrated to produce the same gauge as standard round needles, so there's no need to change to a different width and you can swatch with them as you normally would.

QUADS tips are stainless steel with a lace point and are compatible with all ChiaoGoo (S) and (L) join cables. ChiaoGoo recommends pairing them with the newer swivel adapters for the most comfortable knitting experience. Tips in US 2–8 use the Small (S) join; US 9–11 use the Large (L) join. These interchangeable tips are sold in pairs with two tips per pack.
