SRY Playlist by Wyrd Spinster

We’re excited to be collaborating with Jasmine of Wyrd Spinster on a new monthly fiber series inspired by the music we play at Sugar River Yarns.

If you’ve spent time in the shop, you know our soundtrack leans heavily toward ’80s and ’90s alternative. It’s nostalgic for me (Stephanie), and judging by how often you comment on what’s playing, for a lot of you too.

Jasmine’s aesthetic really caught my attention—from the play on words in the Wyrd Spinster name to the beautiful colorways she creates, I knew I wanted to work with her. I love working with small, indie dyers, and I’m so excited to see what she does with this series.

Each month, I’ll choose a song from the Sugar River Playlist, and Jasmine will create a special fiber colorway based on whatever inspires her—the song itself, the music video, or the cover art.
