Two Events This Week + Lake District Retreat FAQs Update

Posted by Stephanie Gauthier Phillips on

Hello Makers!
Summer is flying by, and we have a couple of wonderful opportunities to gather with our community over the next week—we hope you'll join us!

This Friday evening, we're hosting our Needles & Nightcaps event with local Wisconsin author Amy Knupp. Bring your knitting or crochet, enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks, hear a reading from Amy's newest novel, Single Desire, and be among the first to see Ellie's brand-new crochet pattern inspired by the book. It's sure to be a fun, relaxing evening with fellow fiber friends.

Then on Saturday, head outdoors for the Sugar River Paddle & Jamboree, a day of paddling, delicious food, and live music benefiting the Upper Sugar River Watershed Association. Whether you're spending the day on the river or just joining for the music, it's a wonderful way to celebrate our beautiful Sugar River and support an organization doing important work in our community. Don't forget to use the discount code SUGARRIVERFUN to save $5 on each ticket!

You'll find all the details for both events below. We hope to see you at one—or even both!

We've also been thrilled by the excitement surrounding our 2027 Lake District Retreat! If you've been thinking about joining us, there's still time—spaces remain, and we'd love to have you join us.

We've added a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page to our website to answer many of the questions we've been receiving about the retreat.

We've also heard from several attendees who have asked about extending their time in the UK. Based on that interest, we're working on an optional post-retreat extension for those who'd like to spend a little extra time exploring before heading home. We're finalizing the details now and will share more information about the optional add-on soon.

Our regular newsletter will be back in your inbox next week. In the meantime, happy making!

Until next time, happy making!
Stephanie
